I was thrilled to be able to acquire your RIOT OF SPRING painting at the recent Rotary Artspectacular exhibition. Having seen your website, with very fine detailed flora and fauna works, I wondered if the painting was based on an actual scene or image? Or if it is from your imagination? If it's from an actual scene, are the plants meant to represent particular species? Claire
I have been painting since 2004. I enjoy experimenting in different media including pastel, acrylic ,oil and pen and ink.
I am inspired by the Australian landscape, flora and fauna.
I admire the work of Frederick McCubbin, Tom Roberts, William Turner and Claude Monet.
